Samish was a matriarch who lived from 1974 to 2016. She was an important leader in the pod, and left three living children and a grandchild at her passing. Sasha and her Mom Linsey Ewenin designed and created Samish's flag together. Linsey chose to use the colours of the medicine wheel. Sasha drew a baby whale on the flag as Samish was a mommy, and also a heart because Samish was loved by her family. Sasha also decided to add a fuzzy yellow pipe cleaner because she liked it.

6 year old Sasha (Kawacatoose First Nation) got J14 which was great as she has seen Jpod at Thieves Bay on several occasions.
